Today, the captaincy of the port of Funchal extended the warning of strong sea agitation for Madeira, until 6 am tomorrow, Wednesday.

Remember that the first warning ended at dawn this Tuesday, but the general situation of the weather led to this being updated.

The regional maritime authority indicates that the swell will be in the order of 3.5 to 4.5 meters, gradually decreasing to 2 to 3 meters on the north coast and from 1.5 to 2.5 meters, rising to 2.5 to 3, 5 meters further west until late morning on the southern part.

The wind will blow from the north/northeast fair to moderate, turning to the east/northeast during the afternoon and decreasing to weak to fair, but sometimes moderate, while the visibility will be good.

The captaincy therefore recommends that vessel owners and shipowners adopt the necessary precautions in order to guarantee their safety.
