This excursion takes us to the eastern part of the island. We begin with a climb towards Poiso, and our first stop will be at Pico do Arieiro (1818m) where we will admire the magnificent landscapes that cover a large part of the island.
The excursion continues to Ribeiro Frio, a place famous for its gardens with endemic plants. From here we will cross São Roque do Faial, one of the most interesting areas of the island due to its great diversity of cultures, until we reach Santana – known for its famous typical straw houses. Stop for lunch (not included).
Return to Funchal passing through Porto da Cruz, Portela and Pico do Facho (spectacular views over Ponta de São Lourenço).
