The three ships that are currently docked at the Port of Funchal, Spirit of Adventure, on the north pier, and the usual Monday ships, Azura and AIDAcosma, are carrying a total of 13,338 people, of which 10,168 are passengers, says APRAM, in a press release.
Funchal is the penultimate stop on the Spirit of Adventure’s 15-night cruise, which began in Portsmouth on February 13 and ends in the same port on the 28th.
AIDAcosma and Azura are positioned on the CAI Cruise Atlantic Islands route and carry out one or two week cruises around the islands of Madeira and the Canary Islands.
The AIDA ship is on a seven-night cruise that began on the 19th in Tenerife, with stops at three more Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Las Palmas, and Madeira, on an itinerary that ends on the 26th of February in the port of origin.
On board are 6,121 passengers and 1,459 crew members. The ship makes a 17-hour stopover at this port and leaves at around 10 pm, says the same note.
Azura is running a 14-day cruise with stops at 5 Canary Islands – Tenerife, La Palma, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote – and Madeira. It stays 16 hours in the Port of Funchal and leaves the region at 9:30 pm. It travels with 3,084 passengers and 1,213 crew members.
